Salary: UP TO £55,000 PER ANNUM/DOE

The Position (Available from 01.05.2021)

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Financial Controller to join a branded premium Bath and Body Care Business with over 25 years heritage, currently in a period of exciting growth. The business prides itself on its fast-paced, entrepreneurial environment with a clear focus on product innovation focused on the customer. The business was developed in the UK and commit themselves to producing top quality, ethically sourced body care products. Position based in our Office in Slough, Berkshire. Reporting to the Managing Director.

Primary Responsibilities

  • Manage all finance and accounting operations including billing, cost accounting, inventory accounting and revenue recognition
  • Ensure quality control over financial transactions and financial reporting
  • Develop and document business processes and accounting policies to maintain and strengthen internal controls
  • Support month end and year end close processes
  • Prepare financial statements when needed
  • Advise the Managing Director
  • Liaise with external accountants to ensure all companies accounts are filed in a timely and correct manner
  • Recruit, manage and develop the accounts team as see fit
  • Ensure staff cover during absence
  • Monthly balance sheet reconciliations and production of P&L & balance sheet with variance and KPI analysis
  • Review year end pack and liaising with accountants to finalise year-end figures
  • Manufacture Bill of Materials and stock control

Requirements & Experience

  • Proven working experience as a Financial controller
  • 5+ years of overall combine accounting and finance experience
  • Highly experienced within reconciliations and accounts administration
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to communicate at all levels both within the organisation and with external clients and suppliers
  • Must be able to organise own workload and prioritise, ensuring all deadlines are met in a timely manner
  • Understanding of selling to retail e.g. cashbacks/marketing rebates
  • Preferably knowledgeable of SAGE Line 50 software or similar
  • Must work on own initiative and attention to detail
  • Conduct and maintain a professional manner at all times
  • Experience in MS Office particularly Excel (Advanced Level) & confident working with computers
  • Experience of working with multi-currencies (such as Sterling, US $ and Euro’s)

Work Hours: Permanent Full Time

  • Monday to Thursday from 8:00am – 5:00pm & Friday: 8:30am – 14.30pm
