Salary: £25,000 per annum

The Position (Available from 01.05.21)

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Warehouse Supervisor to join a branded premium Bath and Body Care Business with over 25 years heritage, currently in a period of exciting growth. The business prides itself on its fast-paced, entrepreneurial environment with a clear focus on product innovation focused on the customer. The business was developed in the UK and commit themselves to producing top quality, ethically sourced body care products. Position based in our Warehouse in Slough, Berkshire. Reporting to the Managing Director.

Primary Responsibilities

  • Planning, coordinating, ordering assembly and dispatching of goods
  • Having a clear understanding of the Company’s policies and vision and how the warehouse contributes to this
  • Coordinating the use of automated and computerised systems where necessary
  • Keeping stock control systems up to date and making sure inventories are accurate
  • Planning future capacity requirements
  • Organising the recruitment and training of warehouse staff
  • Monitoring staff performance and progress
  • Supervising, motivating, organising and encouraging teamwork within the workforce to ensure productivity targets are met or exceeded
  • Producing regular reports and statistics on a weekly/monthly basis
  • Providing regular reports and briefings to the Managing Director
  • Liaising with the Office Manager on a regular basis
  • Maintaining and ensuring Health & Safety standards are met
  • Overseeing the order fulfilment process ensuring all special customer requirements are met
  • Overseeing all deliveries ensuring all processes are kept
  • Overseeing the planned maintenance of machinery and equipment
  • Responsible for the day to day maintenance and security of the warehouse
  • Open/closed building (starting after probationary period)

Knowledge and Skills Requirements

  • Good leadership skills
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills
  • Good knowledge of Microsoft Office
  • Knowledge of the legal requirements of operating a warehouse
  • Knowledge and experience of Health and Safety standards
  • Possess planning and organising skills
  • Possess initiative and decisiveness
  • Ability to work well with a team and independently
  • Ability to inspire, motivate, and lead a team
  • Ability to multitask
  • Problem solving skills and an ability to work on a tactical and strategic level
  • Ability to work under pressure and to meet deadlines

Work Hours: Permanent Full Time

  • Monday to Thursday from 7.30am – 16.30pm. Friday: 7.30am – 14.30pm

Note: Working hours can be heavier in the high seasons and also can be asked to work some weekends as a result of exhibitions & trade shows.
