September 20, 2019

Spending time in nature can help relieve stress and anxiety, improve your mood and help boost feelings of happiness and well-being. Whatever you want to do, whether that be walking in a forest, sitting on the beach, running through a field – anything! Humans evolved in the great outdoors, and your brain benefits from connecting with nature.

Nature Heals

Being in nature, or even just having a view of nature can reduce feelings of anger and stress, and increase feelings of happiness. Being surrounded by nature not only helps to make you feel better but it also contributes to your physical health too. It can reduce blood pressure, muscle tension and the production of the stress hormone.

Nature Restores

Nature can impact your general well-being in a huge way. Spending time outside can help to improve your mood, changing from anxious and stressed to being more calm. Spending time in nature also allows us to focus our attention. We naturally find nature interesting, so when we are surrounded by it we can really focus our minds on that. Therefore, it helps to take your mind off your worries and struggles.

Nature Connects

Spending time in nature bring us closer to one another. It connects us to each other and to the world. Nature is good for us because we are part of nature. Mentally, we can become disconnected from nature because we’re deeply involved in technology nowadays. A lot of research has shown that knowing and feeling the connection with nature is very good for us. Knowing your place in nature brings meaning and joy.
